Born and raised in a rural environment in central Iowa
Livestock experience from a young age encompassing cattle, hogs and horses

Iowa State University in 1980
Private practice in large animal medicine and surgery
Embryo transfer in beef cattle
13 years in the pharmaceutical industry
Beef cattle feedlot medicine

Contract research involving beef cattle for pre approval studies submitted to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and post approval marketing studies
Certified trainer in the John Lyons methods of conditioned response training

 

Avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hiking, photography, biking, snow skiing and woodworking.  Travel is a passion for Dr. Huse and he is equally comfortable on horseback or in the cockpit of a small plane. Dr. Huse is currently splitting his time between horse training and organizing a 4000 mile trek ----- on horseback of course ----- which will begin in July of 2004 in Washington state and finish in south Florida.
