Learn the John Lyons methods of conditioned response training
At the two day clinic you will learn to communicate with your horse in a safe, soft and gentle manner. Teach your horse to have a soft mouth and flexible neck, necessary for all riding disciplines. You will leave with knowledge, confidence and inspiration. Your horse will learn to lead, and to give to pressure on the ground and under saddle. You will learn a concept, and theory, so you will be able to address any problem. We will cover good stopping, good gas pedal, and how to get total control of your horse. You will also learn to recognize unwanted behavior that leads to discipline problems. No matter what your level of expertise, our hands-on training will guide you in the art of Gentle Persuasion, the John Lyons method of horse training that is rooted in the belief that the most effective and enriching ways of instruction lie not in the traditional way of forcing a horse into submission, but rather in a humane, respectful method of conditioned response training and developing a partnership between you and the horse.. The class runs sat and sun. Aug 30th & 31st 9-4 board is $20.00 a night. Stalls are limited. The cost is $400.00 A $50.00 deposit is required to hold a spot.
